The story of Clockwise

Launched in 2017, Clockwise provide well-designed, contemporary private offices, shared workspaces and meeting rooms with flexible membership plans.  

As the company entered its next phase of growth and two Directors went on maternity leave, Clockwise required experienced commercial leadership across sales and marketing to maintain momentum. This period marked a critical point for the business, with leadership transitions and increasing demands on its commercial function. 

Challenge: Building commercial capability during a period of change

At a pivotal moment for Clockwise, the business faced several overlapping challenges:

  • Scaling sales and marketing capability in line with business growth

The Sales & Marketing Director maternity cover was particularly critical. Clockwise needed someone with experience within the property sector and the credibility to lead during a transition period, while managing both sales and marketing functions. Failure to secure the right hire risked slowing growth and placing additional strain on the existing leadership team.
