Our work with PetsPyjamas

The 3Search team was introduced to PetsPyjamas in 2022 from the successful work we had completed for another business (you can read more about our work with Look Fabulous Forever).  


PetsPyjamas were planning how to take the business to the next level and was looking to engage a marketing recruitment agency to support this growth. Having engaged a Marketing Consultant, the company identified CRM as a key growth area in order to increase customer retention and loyalty for the business. As a result, PetsPyjamas worked with our specialist CRM recruitment team to hire a newly created role. 


Finding the right person for the Retention Marketing Manager job

CRM specialist recruiter, Suzannah Teggart, worked closely with PetsPyjamas to identify the right person to come in and grow the CRM function. The Retention Marketing Manager was a brand-new role and a great opportunity for someone to come in and set up the department from scratch. As a result, it was important that the successful candidate had the right retention marketing experience to support the business effectively. 


PetsPyjamas ideally wanted a candidate from the travel industry, however, prioritised finding someone from a small business background. The successful candidate came from a company that supported start-up D2C brands in their marketing efforts and so had the right level of experience to support PetsPyjamas in their CRM efforts. 


The business was really happy with their new hire and Suzannah’s excellent, efficient work. Overall, from the first interview, the whole recruitment process took just two weeks.


Providing an excellent recruitment experience

We're pleased to say that Suzannah delivered an excellent recruitment process for both the business and candidate.  


Having taken the time to understand the candidate’s needs, Suzannah knew that they were looking for a position that allowed them to return to the office some days a week. However, with a new puppy at home, this was making the job search difficult for the candidate. Their dog-friendly office meant that PetsPyjamas was the perfect option for them and so Suzannah made the first introduction.  


From then on, Suzannah worked closely with the company to provide an excellent candidate experience. Suzannah met with the candidate in person to discuss how their job search was progressing and PetsPyjamas made the interview process truly personal to show how invested they were in the candidate, including writing them a truly personal offer letter.


By the end of the process, the successful candidate felt that they were already invested in by PetsPyjamas and Suzannah “felt like a friend” to them.  


Ultimately, the candidate was an excellent addition to the business in terms of culture and skill set and is really excited to start work.
